The completed relief. The bayonet was made mostly from plastic stock with the remainder being putty and a very small piece of brass wire. Castings of this piece will be available through The Artist Preservation Group.
Don't be afraid to give your best to what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves. ~Dale Carnegie
I was born and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania where I currently live with my family. My interests grew out of a facination with military uniforms. It progressed from playing with toy soldiers to sculpting Historical Miniatures. In addition to sculpting I've begun painting figure studies of the subjects that interest me most.

Awesome work, Gary! I hope to see a painted verion from your hands;)
Thanks Jason. I do too. :-)
Excellent modeling. Nice bit of drama around the eyes, gives a powerful expression. Well done!
Thank you very much for the kind words. I'm starting to really enjoy doing reliefs as much as fully round sculptures. ~Gary
